Most of Skorby is free. The Skorby scoring app, the AWTRIX LED display you set up at the court, and the Skorby Livestream app are free — today and forever. For the parts that run on our servers — Web Board, live OBS overlay, post-match video rendering, and the Hub once it leaves beta — we charge per 24-hour event. No long subscriptions, no big one-time payments. A single event is cheaper than a coffee at the venue, and you only pay it when you actually use the feature. No ads, ever.
Day-in, day-out we use Skorby for indoor and beach volleyball — those are the two sports we’ve tested heavily. The scoring model is sets and points, so anything shaped like that (table tennis, badminton, similar) should work, but we haven’t logged a thousand matches in those yet. No. The app itself is the scoreboard. The LED, the Web Board, the OBS overlay and the livestream are optional ways for the rest of the world to see what the app is showing.
